A native of Washington, D.C., Tanya (aka Trina) Elliott entered Morgan State University in 1976. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1980. Mrs. Elliott competed on the track and field team as from 1976 – 1980. While she was a participant in many events, her most significant contributions to the Morgan track and field legacy were made as a 4x100m relay team competitor.
 
In 1977, Mrs. Elliott secured a spot on the Lady Bears 4x100m team. She helped to lead her team that season to a 4x100m relay Championship at the 1977 Penn Relays with a time of 47.5 seconds. She continued her contributions in 1979, when her 4x100m relay team posted a time of 45.9 seconds as they posted their second 1st place finish at the Penn Relays once again capturing a relay championship.
 
After the completion of her collegiate studies at Morgan State University, Mrs. Elliott continued her educational pursuits obtaining a Master of Science degree from Strayer College and a Master Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University. She started her own business, WAA Security Management Services, where she provides consulting services to small contractors in the Industrial Security Industry and is currently employed as the Chief Security Compliance Officer with Analyst Warehouse, LLC.
 
Mrs. Elliott currently resides in Ellicott City, Maryland with her husband, Bill, where she is active in the community as a member of the Washington Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a proud mother of three sons,William, Antuan and Anthony, and an even more elated grandmother of two girls, Jaydis and Amiya – all are the love of her life!

Currently resides in Ellicott City, Maryland.
