Hall of Fame
Kenneth Dixon, Sr. was a distinguished track and field standout at Morgan State University, establishing himself as one of the premier milers of his era. Dixon captured the CIAA Mile Run championship three consecutive years in 1948, 1949, and 1950, demonstrating remarkable consistency at the conference level.
Dixon also won the South Atlantic Mile Run and represented Morgan State in two of the nation’s most prestigious track and field competitions, the Drake Relays and Penn Relays. His accomplishments helped contribute to Morgan State’s rich tradition of excellence in track and field during the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Dixon was inducted posthumously into the Morgan State University Varsity “M” Club Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004as part of a distinguished class of former Morgan State coaches and athletes.
