Morgan State Basketball’s Chretien Lukusa Set for the Inaugural NABC Flight School

BALTIMORE, Md. (May 12, 2026) — Morgan State men's basketball Associate Head Coach Chretien Lukusa has been selected to participate in the inaugural NABC Flight School, scheduled for May 20–22 on Nike's Philip H. Knight Campus outside Portland, Oregon. The exclusive, invitation-only event was created for rising and aspiring college basketball coaches.

"I'm extremely honored to receive this invitation and grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with some of the top coaches and leaders in college basketball," said Lukusa. "I'm looking forward to representing Morgan State and building relationships with coaches and administrators across the country."

Presented by Nike, the inaugural NABC Flight School will feature educational programming, leadership development sessions, and networking opportunities with influential head coaches, athletic directors, and search-firm representatives from across the nation.

Lukusa recently completed his second season as Associate Head Coach for Morgan State men's basketball after previously serving three seasons as an assistant coach with the Bears.

During the 2025–26 season, Lukusa helped guide Morgan State to a second-place finish in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) with a 10-4 league record and a 14-16 overall mark. The Bears were led by standout guards Alfred Worrell Jr. and Elijah Davis, who formed one of the conference's top backcourts. Both players earned BOXTOROW All-America honors and were named to the All-MEAC Second Team following strong individual campaigns.

Before joining Morgan State, Lukusa spent five years on staff at Binghamton University, including three seasons as an assistant coach. Throughout his coaching career, he has played key roles in recruiting, player development, scheduling, and player mentorship.

As a student-athlete at Binghamton from 2007–11, Lukusa appeared in 116 career games — second-most in program history. A four-year letterwinner and two-year captain, he finished his career with 640 points and ranks among the school's all-time leaders in assists, steals, and rebounds.

Lukusa earned his bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in Africana Studies in 2011 and his master's degree in Student Affairs Administration in 2013, both from Binghamton University.

A native of Toronto, Canada, Lukusa has also been active with the Canadian National Team and grassroots basketball programs as both a player and volunteer staff member.
