Bears Announce Full Non-Conference Men's Basketball Schedule

The 2025-26 season features 14 regular-season, non-conference games

BALTIMORE, Md. (August 21, 2025) – The 2025-26 Morgan State men's basketball schedule features a strong emphasis on home court advantage during the non-conference slate, with seven games slated to be played within the friendly confines of Hill Field House.

The Bears will start the 2025–26 season on the road against Georgetown on Monday, Nov. 3. The game has extra significance for Morgan State head coach Kevin Broadus, who previously served as an assistant coach with the Hoyas from 2004–07 and again from 2011–17. The game begins a tough 14-game non-conference schedule, as Morgan State aims to build early momentum with a revamped roster leading the way.

With All-MEAC honorees Kameron Hobbs (16.5 ppg, 2.4 apg, BOXTOROW All-American) and Will Thomas (14.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg) having graduated, Morgan State head coach Kevin Broadus will turn to a promising group of newcomers to step up. Veteran leadership and team experience will be key as the Bears tackle a tough early-season slate ahead of MEAC competition.

The Bears face a packed early-season schedule. After opening at Georgetown, they return to Hill Field House for three of their next four games, beginning with home matchups against Central Pennsylvania on November 6 and local rival UMBC on November 11.

Morgan State will travel to Erie, Pa., to face Mercyhurst on Nov. 15, before returning to Baltimore to host former conference rival North Carolina A&T on Nov. 18. The Bears will be seeking their first victory over the Aggies since Jan. 16, 2017, when they recorded an 82-53 win inside Hill Field House.

The Bears head to Norfolk, Virginia, for a matchup against Old Dominion on November 21, before returning home for a two-game stretch at Hill Field House — hosting Drexel on November 25 and Longwood on December 6.

Morgan heads to the Windy City for a December 9 showdown with DePaul in Chicago, Illinois. Just four days later, the Bears return home to welcome Niagara to Hill Field House on December 13.

The Bears travel to the West Coast for a three-game road swing, starting with a matchup against UC Berkeley on December 19. They will then head to the University of San Francisco on Dec. 21, before wrapping up their California trip at Loyola Marymount on Dec. 23. Morgan State's last win over LMU was on Dec. 28, 2019, when the Bears defeated them 74-71 inside Gersten Pavilion.

Morgan wraps up its non-conference slate on December 30, hosting Penn State Brandywine at Hill Field House to close out the calendar year.

These final tune-ups will be key measuring sticks as the Bears gear up for the grind of MEAC play.

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will announce the entire schedule, including league games, in September.
