NORFOLK, Va. (April 3, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced 105 women's and men's basketball student-athletes to the 2025 Men's and Women's Basketball All-Academic Team. Among the MEAC institutions, Morgan State University stood out, boasting an impressive 14 student-athletes from both basketball programs earning well-deserved honors.
To meet the conference's all-academic team qualifications, student-athletes of the MEAC must be either a sophomore, junior or senior, as well as a transfer student with at least one year on the team. A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better is required.
"Congratulations to all of our Men's and Women's Basketball All-Academic student-athletes," said MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills. "Success on the court is built upon the foundation of discipline, teamwork and determination. These are the true values that also foster excellence in the classroom. Our academic basketball team represents the perfect balance between athletic achievement and intellectual growth, proving that true champions excel both in sports and in their studies."
