BALTIMORE, Md. (March 23, 2022)--Morgan State freshman Hannah Smith was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference announced today. Howard's Jordan Grayson was named MEAC Rookie of the Week.
 
Smith was a perfect 6-0 at this past weekend's MEAC Round-Up, winning all three of her No. 2 singles matches in straight sets, while teaming up with partner Anabel Aran to win all three of her doubles contests.
 
A native of Columbia, Md., Smith began the week defeating North Carolina Central's Kennedy Hill 7-5, 6-3, before earning a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Amber Fuller of Norfolk State. Smith concluded the Round-Up with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over South Carolina State's Teodora Vujicic.
 
Smith and the Lady Bears will be back on the courts on Thursday, March 24, when they visit local foe Loyola Maryland at 3 p.m.
