Jourdan Wallace were named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week and MEAC Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. This is the first MEAC weekly honor this season for both athletes.

Rose went a combined 3-1 for the week, winning both of her singles matches and going 1-1 in doubles play with partner
Peggy Rooke. Rose began the week with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Hofstra's Jasmine King in a No. 3 contest, but dropped a 7-5 decision with Rooke at the No. 2 doubles spot.

The Baltimore native closed out the weekend getting a No. 2 doubles victory, before defeating Sandra Siles of St. Francis Brooklyn in a No. 3 singles match 6-1, 6-0.

Wallace recorded her first singles win of the season, following a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Ana Torres of Hofstra at No. 6. Wallace also teamed up that day with fellow freshman
Averiana Mitchell to earn a No. 1 doubles victory over Hofstra's team of Jasmine King and Sarah-Catherine Herndon 7-6 (9-7).

A native of Compton, Calif., Wallace ended the week with a 6-2 No. 1 doubles victory with Mitchell against St. Francis Brooklyn and with a default victory over Ana Orozco at No. 6 singles.

The Lady Bears (2-6) will be off for a month and will return to the courts on Wednesday, March 13 to face Loyola Maryland at 4 p.m.
