Crystal Coke Named MEAC Cross Country Runner of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. (Sept. 23, 2026) – Morgan State's Crystal Coke was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week following her individual victory at the UMES Soaring Hawks Invitational over the weekend.
 
Coke, a native of St. Catherine, Jamaica, led the Lady Bears to the team title, capturing first place in the women's race with a time of 21:24.86. She averaged 4:20.2 per mile to secure the individual victory.
 
Coke's performance helped Morgan State finish first in the team standings with 29 points, ahead of Coppin State (48), Lincoln (Pa.) (50) and host Maryland Eastern Shore (83).
 
The Lady Bears will return to action Friday, Oct. 2, when they travel to Mechanicsville, Va., to compete in the Richmond Invitational.
