Today started early as we woke up around 6:30 a.m. to get ready and pack our things before leaving the hotel. By 7:40 a.m., everyone was on the bus, and we headed to a local school where we participated in a volleyball clinic for students. We spent about 90 minutes teaching different skills, running drills, and playing volleyball with them. It was a really fun experience because the students were excited to learn, and it was great to share our love for the game with them. Seeing how much they enjoyed volleyball made the morning very rewarding.
After the clinic, we got back on the bus and started our drive toward Kasane. A few hours later, we stopped for lunch at a beautiful lodge. The food was amazing, and my favorite part was definitely the chocolate cake. While we were there, my teammates and I spent some time looking at posters near the bathrooms that showed different birds and snakes found in southern Africa. We found them really interesting and ended up talking about them for a while. The lodge also had a beautiful pool, and overall, it was a great place to stop and relax before continuing our journey.
