Today started early as we woke up around 6:30 a.m. to get ready and pack our things before leaving the hotel. By 7:40 a.m., everyone was on the bus, and we headed to a local school where we participated in a volleyball clinic for students. We spent about 90 minutes teaching different skills, running drills, and playing volleyball with them. It was a really fun experience because the students were excited to learn, and it was great to share our love for the game with them. Seeing how much they enjoyed volleyball made the morning very rewarding.

After the clinic, we got back on the bus and started our drive toward Kasane. A few hours later, we stopped for lunch at a beautiful lodge. The food was amazing, and my favorite part was definitely the chocolate cake. While we were there, my teammates and I spent some time looking at posters near the bathrooms that showed different birds and snakes found in southern Africa. We found them really interesting and ended up talking about them for a while. The lodge also had a beautiful pool, and overall, it was a great place to stop and relax before continuing our journey.

The rest of the afternoon was spent traveling. We stopped once for gas and snacks before getting back on the road. As we got closer to Kasane, we were lucky enough to see elephants along the side of the road. Our driver shared some facts about the animals and the area, which made the drive even more interesting. When we finally arrived at our hotel, we got settled into our rooms. I even found a spider in mine, so that was an adventure on its own. Later, we had a really good dinner and met our tour guide for tomorrow, who gave us information about our early morning trip to the national park. After that, I got everything ready for the next day, did my skincare routine, and went to bed excited for what is ahead.
