BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 14, 2026) – The Morgan State men's and women's cross country teams will make their final regular-season appearance Friday when they compete at the Joe Handelman '52 Fall Classic, hosted by Princeton University.
With the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships on the horizon, the Bears will look to build momentum and sharpen their performances as they prepare for the postseason.
Morgan State last competed two weeks ago at the Richmond Invitational, where the men's team was led by Natnael Gebremariam, who finished the 8K with a time of 26:37.2. Isaiah Smith ran a time of 29:39.2, followed by Shondell Warren in 30:17.5.
On the women's side, Kennedi Green paced Morgan State with a time of 26:13.6 in the 6K. Crystal Coke followed in 26:33.7, while Rhian Jeffries finished in 26:51.7.
Friday's meet will provide both squads with another opportunity to test themselves against a competitive field and fine-tune their performances before the conference championships.
The women's team will open the meet at 4:30 p.m. on the 6K course, followed by the men's 8K race at 5 p.m.
With one final race remaining before the postseason, the Bears will look to make the most of their opportunity at Princeton as they gear up for the MEAC Championships.
