Five Bears Earn Top MEAC Academic Honors in Cross Country

NORFOLK, Va. (October 28, 2026) -- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced its 2026 Cross Country All-Academic Team, recognizing 67 student-athletes from the league's eight member institutions for their exceptional academic performance during the 2026–27 academic year.

Morgan State proudly placed five representatives on the list: Crystal Coke, Natalia Eastman, Kayla More, Joshua Moore, and Samuel Skinner.

To be eligible for MEAC All-Academic recognition, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Transfer student-athletes who have been enrolled at their respective institutions for at least one academic year are also considered.

Hosted by North Carolina Central University, the 2026 MEAC Cross Country Championships will feature all eight MEAC men's and women's cross country programs. The men's 8k race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the women's 5k race at noon.

The entire championship will be streamed live on MEAC Network, with coverage featuring the races, interviews, and the post-race awards ceremony.

As part of the conference's community service initiatives, the MEAC will also host a Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk on Friday, Oct. 30, at WakeMed Soccer Park.
