Jadon Carter, a graduate student at Morgan State University and a transfer from Bowie State, is making waves as a defensive back on the Morgan State football team. Hailing from Bryans Road, Maryland, Carter has big ambitions beyond the gridiron; he aspires to become a sports agent.
Though often quiet off the field, Carter's presence on it is impossible to ignore. His relentless performance and leadership earned him a nomination for the prestigious Aeneas Williams Award for the 2025 season. Presented by the Chickasaw Nation, this award honors the nation's best defensive players.
"Being nominated for this award means a lot to me," Carter shared. "It's a chance to make a name for myself. Plus, my brother Jordan was nominated too, so I'm hoping to win and earn some bragging rights."
Coming from a football family, Carter was inspired by his older brother Jordan from an early age. While he was too young to play when Jordan was on the field, Jadon eagerly seized every opportunity to follow in his footsteps once he could. Their shared passion for the game runs deep, fueled by friendly competition and unwavering support.
Carter also has a lifelong connection with Head Coach David Wilson, who coached him both at Bowie State and now at Morgan State. The bond runs deeper than football. Wilson and Jamaal Carter, Jadon's relative, are fraternity brothers, making this mentorship particularly special.
Jordan remains Jadon's biggest influence in sports. "He's the only person I truly look up to," Jadon said. "He motivates me to push harder and maximize my potential. We compete in everything we do, and he's also my biggest supporter."
With a strong foundation built on family, mentorship, and fierce determination, Jadon Carter is focused on carving out a successful future not just on the field, but in the world of sports management as a future sports agent.
