Jenkins Jr. and Fetty Tabbed for MEAC Weekly Football Accolades

BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 19, 2026) -  Morgan State football standouts Keith Jenkins Jr. and Gavin Fetty have earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) weekly honors following their performances in the Bears' contest against Tennessee State on Saturday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. Jenkins Jr. was named MEAC Specialist of the Week, while Fetty earned MEAC Rookie of the Week recognition.

Jenkins Jr. continued to demonstrate his versatility and impact in multiple phases of the game, delivering a productive performance against the Tigers. The redshirt senior running back led Morgan State's ground attack with 113 rushing yards and a 28-yard touchdown. He also contributed six receptions for 37 yards and returned four kickoffs for 74 yards, including a 21-yard return, finishing with 224 all-purpose yards.

Jenkins Jr.'s performance further underscores his standing among the nation's most productive special teams players. He currently leads the MEAC in kickoff return average at 25.1 yards per return, ranking No. 20 in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). He also ranks No. 6 nationally in all-purpose yards, averaging 143.3 yards per game, and is tied for No. 7 in the nation in combined kick returns with 426 yards.

His ability to contribute as a runner, receiver, and kick returner has made him a valuable weapon for the Bears as they enter the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference portion of their schedule. His latest honor adds to a strong individual campaign in which he has consistently provided production and versatility for the Morgan State offense and special teams.

Fetty, a freshman newcomer, earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors for his contributions to the Bears. The recognition highlights the continued development of Morgan State's younger players and their growing roles as the team prepares for the conference race.

Morgan State (5-2, 0-0 MEAC) returns to action Saturday, Oct. 24, when the Bears host the Howard Bison in their MEAC opener at Hughes Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Baltimore.

The matchup marks the beginning of conference play for the Bears, who will look to build on their strong start to the season and position themselves for a run at the MEAC title.
