JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 30, 2025) — Morgan State's Dante Jackson wrapped up his season on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Region First Round, proudly representing the Bears in the 400-meter dash at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
Although Jackson did not advance to the next round, his journey to the quarterfinals was a testament to his hard work and determination. Just two nights earlier, the junior delivered a remarkable personal best of 46.30 seconds, showing he belongs among the region's elite. In Friday's quarterfinal, he clocked in at 47.87 seconds, finishing 24th overall in a highly competitive field.
The 400-meter event saw impressive performances, including a standout run by Alabama's Samuel Ogazi, who posted a lightning-fast 44.43. The high level of competition highlights the caliber of athletes on the national stage—and the drive it takes to compete among them.
Though his path to Eugene and the NCAA Championships concludes here, Jackson's season was filled with growth and memorable moments. With the experience gained and the fire still burning, he'll head into the next season more focused than ever, ready to chase new goals and faster times.
