NORFOLK, Va. (April 30, 2025)--Morgan State graduate student
Tia Jackson was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Delaware State junior Miriam Okwudibonye was named MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Bristol, United Kingdom, Jackson was Morgan State's lone champion at the 129
th running of the Penn Relays, as she won the long jump with a leap of 20-1.50 (6.12 meters). Jackson's mark set a personal-best at the Penn Relays and is currently the top performance in the MEAC in the long jump this season.

It was the second time in Jackson's career that she captured the long jump title at the world-famous Penn Relays. During the 2023 Penn Relays, Jackson won the event after recording a jump of 20-0.50 (6.11 meters).
