Brylan Carter Named MEAC Field Athlete of the Week

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 22, 2026) -- Morgan State senior Brylan Carter was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league announced Wednesday, following a series of standout performances at the Legacy Track Meet.

The honor marks another milestone for the Bears during the outdoor season and highlights the program's continued upward trajectory as Morgan State prepares for this week's historic Penn Relays (April 23–25).

A native of Altadena, California, Carter delivered an impressive all-around showing in the field events. She recorded a MEAC-best mark of 50.63 meters in the hammer throw to place second, captured first place in the javelin with a throw of 36.61 meters—currently ranked second in the conference—and added a second-place finish in the discus with a mark of 42.37 meters.

Carter's performance continues to position her among the MEAC's top field athletes this season.
