Robinson, Carter Sweep MEAC Women’s Track & Field Weekly Honors

BALTIMORE, Md. (Apr. 15, 2026) -- Morgan State junior Jatavia Robinson and senior Brylan Carter earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference weekly honors following standout performances at the Duke Invitational, the league announced Wednesday. Robinson was named MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while Carter collected Women's Field Athlete of the Week recognition.

The weekly honors mark another strong milestone for the Bears during the outdoor season and reflect the continued progress of the program as Morgan State prepares to host its annual Legacy Meet this weekend at Earl C. Banks Field at Hughes Stadium.

Robinson, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin product, delivered a personal-best performance in the 200 meters, clocking 24.01 to finish sixth overall in a competitive field. The mark currently ranks No. 6 in the MEAC this season. She also helped power Morgan State's 4x100-meter relay team to a season-best time of 46.45, continuing to be a key contributor in the Bears' sprint events.

Carter, an Altadena, California native, earned the league's top field honor after posting a season-best 38.01 meters in the discus, finishing 14th overall at the Duke Invitational. Her throw currently stands as the No. 1 mark in the MEAC this outdoor season. She also added a 47.53-meter mark in the hammer throw to cap off an impressive weekend.

Morgan State returns to action April 17-18 when the Bears host the annual Legacy Meet at Earl C. Banks Field at Hughes Stadium, welcoming teams from across the region for one of the program's premier home events of the outdoor season.
