Stewart Named MEAC Field Athlete Of The Week

NORFOLK, Va. (March 26, 2025)--Morgan State freshman Keira Stewart was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. This is her first MEAC weekly honor.

Howard graduate Marcia Sey was named MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week.
 
A native of East Hartford, Conn., Stewart won the long jump event at the Charlotte 49er Classic this past weekend. Stewart would set a personal best with a mark of 19-9 (6.02m) to secure first place.
 
On the track Stewart helped the Lady Bears' 4X100 and 4X400 relay teams to two third place finishes, while placed ninth individually in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.20 seconds.
