BALTIMORE, Md. (Jan. 20, 2025) — Morgan State redshirt senior guard Kameron Hobbs has been recognized for his outstanding performance on the court, earning the title of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola. This accolade marks the second consecutive week that Hobbs has been honored.
Hobbs scored 18 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Morgan State men's basketball team to a 78-74 victory against Norfolk State last Monday night at Hill Field House. Hobbs connected on 9-of-19 from the field, including 4-for-9 from three-point territory and added a game-high eight rebounds and four assists in 40 minutes.
With his eighth 20-point game of the season, and a streak of seven consecutive games hitting this milestone, Hobbs has established himself as one of the hottest players in the league.
As the season progresses, all eyes will be on the Stockbridge, Georgia product as he aims to maintain this high level of performance and help guide Morgan through a competitive conference slate.
The Bears return to action on Saturday (Jan. 25) for a conference home matchup against the Coppin State Eagles. Tip-off at Hill Field House is set for 4 p.m.
