BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 20, 2024)--The Morgan State men's and women's cross country teams hit the road again this Saturday, when they travel to Princess Anne, Md. to compete in the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Soaring Hawks Invitational.

In their last meet, senior runner
Perry Bennett led the Bears with an impressive top-10 finish, securing 8th place with a season-best time of 16:09.10 at the Delaware State University (DSU) Sting Invitational.

The Bears have shown consistent strength in their last two meets, with standout performances from
Davian Gray,
Rushshane Fullerton,
Caleb Mincey, and
Dante Jackson. Heading into Saturday's competition, they aim to carry that momentum forward and deliver another strong showing.

The women's team is heading to the invitational with renewed focus and determination, eager to compete and prove themselves stronger than ever. Despite not finishing with a score in their last meet, they are no strangers to the path of redemption.

Abigail Fisher led the Lady Bears with a time of 20:20.90 to finish 15
th overall, while
Aaliyah Headley placed 16th, crossing the line in a time of 20:44.00.

With each race, they are driven to improve and come back even better, ready to show their growth and resilience in the upcoming competition.
