Women's Cross Country Takes Third Place at the Baltimore Metro Meet Friday

Final Results

BALTIMORE, Md. (Aug. 30, 2024) — 
Morgan State women's cross country finished in third place at the Baltimore Metro Meet hosted by Goucher College on Friday evening. 

Senior Abigail Fisher crossed the finish line in 22nd place with a time of 21:04.26 in the 5000m event. Fisher was followed closely behind by junior Aaliyah Headley in 23rd place (21:09.93) and senior Jessica Lamborn claimed 24th place with a time of 21:26.55.

Sophomore Crystal Coke turned in a 27th place finish by clocking in a time of 21:35.72, while freshman Hemetii Apet added a time of 22:52.60 (40th) to contribute to the Bears third place finish with a total of 116 total points. 

Towson secured the meet title with 31 points, while Gettysburg ultimately finished in second place with 38 points.

Morgan returns to action on Friday, September 13 at the Delaware State Sting Invitational in Dover, Delaware.
