LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 22, 2024) — Morgan State track & field junior Derick Robinson put forth a solid effort on Wednesday during the first day of the NCAA East First Rounds in Lexington, Kentucky.Â
Making his East First Round debut, Robinson showcased his ability in the men's long jump against a loaded field of competitors. Robinson's best attempt measured 7.12 meters (23'4.50'), securing him 33rd place overall.
The St. Thomas, Jamaica product emerged as a key member of the Morgan State track & field team, contributing to the Bears' success throughout the year. His performances in the long jump consistently ranked among the top in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
Robinson's participation in the East First Round provided him with invaluable experience and exposure to the highest level of competition. It will undoubtedly serve as a foundation for his future success.Â
