COLLEGE PARK, Md. (March 23, 2024)
—Despite the less than ideal weather conditions, the Morgan State men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Maryland Invitational this weekend.

The competition took place at the Kehoe Track and Field Complex, which was chilly with occasional wind and rain, making the track and field events even more challenging for the athletes. The athletes pushed through the conditions.

Eight teams, along with a track club, had gathered at the venue, all eager to show off their skills and compete. Among the teams were some familiar names, such as Bowie State, Colgate, Coppin State, Howard C.C. (Md.) and host Maryland.

In the 100m dash, Adrian Holley ultimately emerged as the victor, crossing the finish line with a personal best time of 10.81 seconds. His teammate Antonio Sims wasn't far behind, clocking in with a PR at 10.94 seconds to secure the second-place spot. It was a close race, with just a fraction of a second separating the top two runners. Omari McKenzie also put on an impressive performance, finishing in fifth place with a personal best time of 11.08 seconds.
