BALTIMORE, Md. (May 15, 2023) - Florida Southwestern State 6-foot-9 forward Allen Udemadu has signed with Morgan State and will be eligible for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Udemadu played in 25 games for the Bucs this season, averaging 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting a team best 59% from the field. Offensively, he had his best game of the season in late November against Polk State when he went for a season high 15 points on a perfect 6-6 shooting in a 111-56 FSW win over the Eagles. Defensively and on the glass his best effort came late in the year against Southern Conference rival Indian River when he pulled down seven rebounds and blocked a career high four shots against the Pioneers.
Udemadu will join a Morgan State squad coming off of a 15-16 campaign in which they went 7-7 in MEAC play to reach the conference tournament. The Bears were tough at home in Baltimore, going 10-2 at Hill Field House.
The Lagos, Nigeria product joins 6-foot-7 forward Myles Thompson and 6-2 guard Wynston Tabbs as part of the Bears' 2023-24 recruiting class.
Udemadu joins an MSU team that returns veteran guards Kamron Hobbs (8.4 ppg) and Will Thomas (8.9 ppg). The Bears lost five seniors Isaiah Burke (18.7 ppg), Malik Miller (17.5 ppg), Lewis Djonkam (7.9 ppg), Ty Horner (2.6) and Collin Nnamene (2.2 ppg).
