NOTE THE QUOTE | COACH KEVIN BROADUS
"This win was important for us, especially with two of our top scorers out. Elijah [Davis] and Walter Peggs were unavailable, but
David Bumpass stepped in and gave us a huge lift, along with
Eugene Alvin."
"I always talk about 'next man up,' and that's exactly what happened tonight. It was a great win for us, and our loyal fans came out and supported us. This was our Super Bowl—a must-win game—and our guys stepped up to the challenge."
SENIOR GUARD ROB LAWSON
"I was just trusting the game and trusting my teammates," Lawson said. "For them to trust me with the ball in my hands so I could make a play for them means a lot."
NEXT UP
The Bears will begin a West Coast swing when they travel to face Cal on Friday (Dec. 20), followed by a matchup at San Francisco on Sunday (Dec. 22), and then wrap the trip at Loyola Marymount on Tuesday (Dec. 23).
