BALTIMORE, Md. (March 24, 2023) -- The Morgan State University men's and women's track and field programs the will compete at the 2023 Weems Baskin Relays this weekend at the Sheila and Morris Cregger Track hosted by the University of South Carolina. The meet will be the only two-day home meet of the outdoor season and will begin on Friday and conclude Saturday afternoon.
This will be the second outdoor meet and season for the both teams.
The Weems Baskin Relays features 35 total teams, including the likes of: Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Marshall, North Carolina A&T, South Carolina State, Troy and Virginia Tech. The two-day meet will begin on Friday with doors opening at 10 a.m. The first event on Friday will be the women's hammer throw at noon, with the first track event being the women's 400m at 4 p.m. Saturday doors will open at 8 a.m. with both the track and the field events starting at 10 a.m. The final event will be the coveted 4x400m relays with the women running at 3:50 p.m. and the men running at 4:05 p.m.
