NORFOLK, Va. (March 1, 2023)--Morgan State junior bowler Cheyenne Washington was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
 
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Washington was named to the New Jersey Open All-Tournament Team after leading Morgan State to a second-place finish. A native of Pontiac, Mich., she averaged 216.0 pins in traditional play, including a 232.25 average in her last five games and a weekend best of 265.
 
For the weekend, Washington averaged 21.46 pins per frame, had a 54.6 strike percentage and averaged 9.16 pins on first ball. In Baker play, she averaged 21.41 pins per frame and the weekend saw her record an 89.2 fill percentage.
 
"Cheyenne's dedication is paying off with strong scoring this season, most especially in this semester," said Morgan State head coach Tom Falbo. "Congratulations to her for her well deserved conference honors this week."
