MEAC Bracket
NORFOLK, Va. - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the seeding for the 2026 MEAC Women's Bowling Championship, with North Carolina A&T State University earning the No. 1 overall seed after capturing its sixth consecutive regular season title.
All eight MEAC bowling programs will compete in the three-day, double-elimination championship, utilizing the mega-match format during preliminary rounds. Sunday's championship match will be contested in a best-of-seven Baker format to determine the conference champion and automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
Ranked No. 12 nationally, North Carolina A&T concluded conference play with a dominant 12–2 MEAC record, including a perfect 7–0 mark in Meet 2 to secure the regular season crown. The Aggies compiled a 69–35 overall record and recorded more than 20 wins over nationally ranked opponents, highlighted by victories over No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 10 Maryville, No. 16 Maryland Eastern Shore, No. 19 Tulane, and No. 24 Oklahoma Christian.
As the top seed, North Carolina A&T will open tournament play against No. 8 Norfolk State.
The remaining first-round matchups are as follows:
• No. 2 University of Alabama at Birmingham (No. 19 nationally) vs. No. 7 Coppin State
• No. 3 Delaware State vs. No. 6 Howard
• No. 4 Morgan State vs. No. 5 Maryland Eastern Shore
UAB and Delaware State each finished 9–5 in conference play, with seeding determined by MEAC tiebreaker procedures.
First-round competition is scheduled to begin Friday, March 20 at 9 a.m., followed by the second session at 2 p.m.
The 2026 MEAC Women's Bowling Championship will be held March 20–22 at Triad Lanes in Greensboro, North Carolina. The championship match will stream live on ESPN+ on Sunday, March 22, beginning at 2 p.m.
