Morgan State Signs 15 During Early Signing Period

BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 21, 2023) – Morgan State University head coach Damon Wilson has capped off its early period of National Signing Day by announcing the signatures of 15 future Bear football student-athletes.

"I believe the coaches did a good job with ensuring some of our needs were met in this early signing period," said Wilson.

"The student athletes signed have displayed the ability to be successful in the classroom and on the field. I'm excited to add a few mid year guys that we will have the ability to work with in the spring. I look forward to adding a few more to our family in February as well."

The crop of signees comprises five (5) offensive linemen, four (4) defensive linemen, two (2) defensive backs, two (2) quarterbacks and one (1) linebacker. The group includes three (3) transfers and 12 high school seniors. Members of Morgan's class hail from seven states. The DMV (Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia) is represented by eight signees.

Five (5) of Morgan's signees will join the program in January as early enrollees: quarterback Kobe Muasau, offensive lineman Kadin Zlacki-Johnson, offensive lineman Uriel Rodriguez, defensive lineman Josh Lowe, and defensive back Jadon Carter.

Lohgan "Kobe" Muasau, a product of Puyallup, Washington, was the first Morgan signee to send in his NLI to open Wednesday's signing day at 7:00 a.m. ET.

The early signing period runs through the end of the day Friday with National Signing Day scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024.
