Morgan State Spring Football Dates Announced

Spring Game Set For April 16 at Hughes Stadium.

BALTIMORE, Md. (March 16, 2025) -- The countdown to spring football is right around the corner for the Morgan State Bears, as the program has officially announced the schedule for its upcoming spring practice sessions.

The Bears are scheduled to hold 15 practices during the spring session, culminating in a scrimmage on April 16. Additional logistical information regarding the scrimmage will be announced at a later date.

The Bears showed flashes of promise and continued to build momentum during the 2025 season, finishing with a 4–8 overall record, including a 1–4 mark in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play.

Raymond Moore III was named MEAC Rookie of the Year, giving the Bears back-to-back recipients of the league's top freshman honor.

Morgan State also placed six players on the All-MEAC Teams. LB Erick Hunter and DL Blanche Gold earned First Team honors, while WR Justin Perry, DE Lance Byndon, DB Jadon Carter, and DB Hiroshi Carr were named to the Second Team.

Morgan State will open the 2026 season on the road on consecutive weekends, beginning with a CAA matchup at North Carolina A&T on Aug. 29, followed by an FBS showdown against Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz., on Sept. 5.

The Bears will host Virginia University of Lynchburg in their home opener on Sept. 12 before welcoming Robert Morris for Homecoming on Oct. 10. Morgan State will then open Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play at home against longtime rival Howard.
