PRINCETON, N.J. (Dec. 9, 2023) -- The Morgan State men's track and field team competed at this year's Joe Handelman Invitational hosted by Princeton University. The Bears notched eight total top-5 all-time performances in Jadwin Gym.
How it Happened
● Junior Adrian Holley placed eighth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.09.
● Sophomore Antonio Sims placed seventh in the 300m dash by crossing the tape with a personal best time of 36.46, while freshman teammate Larry Hawkins III placed eighth (36.47) and sophomore Omari McKenzie finished ninth (36.49).
● In the 600m run, junior Devion Bryant took second place with a personal best time of 1:23.40, while sophomore Dante Jackson placed fourth (1:24.86).
● Junior Jackson Waller placed second in the men's mile by crossing the tape with a personal best time of 4:43.03.
● Morgan's 4x400 meter relay A team of Antonio Sims, Larry Hawkins III, Dante Jackson, and Tarique Gooden finished third in the event with a time of 3:34:04.
● Isaac Rankin earned second place in the high jump with a leap of 1.85m (6-00.75). He also placed fourth in the long jump with a personal best distance of 6.22m (20-10.50).
● Malik Brown tied for fourth place in the pole jump with a height of 3.70m (12-01.50).
● Sophomore Zackery Dillon took fifth place in the shot put with a toss of 15.12 (49-07.25).

The Bears will return to action in the New Year when they compete at the KPMG HBCU Invitational on Jan. 13-14 in Manhattan, N.Y.
