BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 24, 2023)--The Morgan State bowling team returned to action over the weekend as they competed in the Golden Bear Invite hosted by Kutztown University at Berks Lanes in Sinking Spring, Pa.

The Lady Bears improved to 10-12 on the season after going 7-2 for the weekend and a seventh-place finish.

Morgan State went 2-2 during Saturday's traditional games. The Lady Bears lost to rival Coppin State, 946-838, before earning back-to-back wins over Caldwell (847-796) and Bloomfield (763-663). MSU ended the day falling to Felician (824-805).

On Sunday, the Lady Bears went unbeaten in Baker play, going a perfect 5-0. Morgan began the day defeating host Kutztown (858-791) and Chestnut Hill (841-788). Next up was a victory over Fairleigh Dickinson (917-835), followed by a win against Mercyhurst (844-817). The Lady Bears concluded the day defeating Alvernia (1,008-969) in the seventh-place match, four games to two.

Sophomore
Johnna Hill led Morgan with an average of 173.80 pins to place 22
nd overall in the individual standings. Hill would have a high game of 213 in the loss to Felician.

Morgan State will be off until Nov. 11-12 when it begins Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play at the MEAC No. 1 event, hosted by Coppin State.
