XC’s Men Finish 14th at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational

Perry Bennett leads Bears with a 4th place finish.

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 14, 2023) – The Morgan State men's cross country team finished 14th in Saturday's Aubrey Shenk Invitational, held by Gettysburg College on a chilly, rainy morning.

Leading the men to a top-15 finish this week was junior Perry Bennett once again. He led the way with a 4th-place finish among 263 runners, and a new PR of 24:47.0. As a team, t
he Bears scored 362 points for 14th out of 25 total schools.

Closing out the top-50 individual finishers on the men's side was Jackson Waller in 45th with a time of 26:32.0.

Today's meet marked the end of the regular season for cross country meets before heading on to the postseason in a couple weeks.

Morgan returns to action on Saturday, October 28, when the Bears head to the MEAC Championships in Smyrna, Delaware.
