Morgan State Gears Up for the 2025 MEAC Cross Country Championships

BALTIMORE, Md. (October 30, 2025) -- The Morgan State men's and women's cross country teams are set to make their mark at the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Championships, taking place Saturday, November 1, at MakeMed Park in Cary, North Carolina.

The Bears enter the championship on a wave of momentum following an encouraging performance at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, where several athletes delivered standout efforts and personal bests, signaling strong readiness for postseason competition.

On the women's side, Crystal Coke paced the Bears with a personal-best time of 23:56.3. Aaliyah Headley also turned in a solid performance, crossing the line in 24:49.3.

The men's team mirrored that success with several impressive performances. Caleb Mincey led the charge with a personal best of 25:11.9, followed by Natnael Gebremariam (26:44.7), Miguel Grahm (PB, 27:48.1), Cameron Stuckless (PB, 29:35.9), Joshua Moore (31:56.0), Ashton Dais (PB, 32:40.2), and Antonio Sims (PB, 35:13.2).

Morgan State will face strong competition from MEAC rivals Howard, South Carolina State, Delaware State, North Carolina Central, Norfolk State, Coppin State, and Maryland Eastern Shore.

"This weekend's race is a reward for all of your hard work and dedication, and you will get out of it what you put into it," said Head Coach Neville Hodge. "Challenges are a basic part of life, but these challenges lead to growth and wisdom that wouldn't be possible without your teammates. One dream, one team, and one goal. Go, Bears!"

The championship races are set to commence with the women's 5,000-meter event at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men's race at 12:00 p.m. For fans eager to follow the action, the entire championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+, offering comprehensive race coverage, insightful interviews, and the exciting post-race awards ceremony.
