The Morgan State men's team scored 494 points in the 8K race to finish 16th out of 34 teams, while the Lady Bears totaled 530 points in the 6K event to place 18th among 33 squads.

Leading the Lady Bears, Crystal Coke and Aaliyah Headley set the pace for Morgan State. Coke recorded a personal best of 23:56.3 to place 66th. At the same time, Headley finished 98th in 24:49.3. On the men's side, Caleb Mincey continued his standout season with a 9th-place finish, running a personal-best 25:11.9. Natnael Gebremariam placed 60th in a personal-best 26:44.7, while Miguel Graham crossed in 118th with a personal-best 27:48.1. Head Coach Neville Hodge praised the team's focus and determination throughout the meet.

"Big tests call for big moments, and their performance showed just that," said Hodge. "Even with injuries to two key athletes, we stayed composed and executed our plan. Caleb Mincey set the tone for our young group, and I'm very proud of how everyone competed today."

Hodge highlighted Mincey's leadership, noting his personal-best 25:11.9 for five miles, along with the impressive efforts of freshmen Gebremariam (26:44.7), Graham (27:48.1), and Stuckless (29:35.9), all of whom set career marks.

On the women's side, Hodge described Crystal Coke as "the driving force of this team," commending her personal-best 23:56.3 performance over 3.2 miles. She was followed closely by senior Aaliyah Headley and freshman Natalia Eastman, who also posted a personal best. Despite battling several injuries, the Lady Bears showed grit and resilience throughout the race.

Up next, the Bears will travel to Cary, North Carolina, to compete in the 2025 MEAC Cross Country Championships, scheduled for Saturday, November 1.
