BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 15, 2022) -- After a week off, the Morgan State cross country teams will return to work this weekend when they compete at the Delaware State Sting Invitational, hosted by Delaware State University on Saturday, Sept. 17. The meet will be held at the Delaware State Outreach Center in Smyrna, Del.

The Lady Bears are set to begin at 9a.m., and the men's team competes at 10 a.m.

Both teams are fresh into the season, with this being the second meet of the season. Morgan State began the season at the Spider Alumni Open, hosted by Richmond, which took place in Polo Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. two weekends ago.

The Lady Bears top finisher was
Rachel Field, who ran a time of 13:23.4, while junior transfer
Davian Gray led the men's team with a ninth-place finish in a time of 19:47.3.

Next week the teams will travel to Princess Anne, Md., for the Maryland Eastern Shore Farm Run on Saturday, Sept. 24.
