Hill Earns Third MEAC Rookie of the Week Honor

NORFOLK, Va. (Nov. 22, 2022)--Morgan State freshman bowler Johnna Hill was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced on Tuesday. It was the second consecutive week that Hill earned the award and the third time this season. Hill was also named on Oct 18 and Nov. 15.
 
Delaware State's Cierra Brown was named MEAC Bowler of the Week.
 
Hill, who finished seventh overall individually at the Eastern Shore Hawk Invite, averaged 204.2 pins in traditional play and bowled a weekend-high 235. In 99 total frames bowled, the Pittsburgh, Pa. native averaged 19.32 pins per frame and 8.71 on first ball.
 
Morgan State will be off until the New Year, when it travels to Deptford, N.J. to compete in the Northeast Classic on Jan. 20-22, 2023 co-hosted by Long Island University and Sacred Heart University.
