Bears Compete at Sykes & Sabock Invitational

Final Results

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – 
The Morgan State University men's track & field team had a busy day Saturday, competing at the Sykes & Sabock Invitational hosted by Penn State inside Ashenfelter Indoor Track.
 
There were multiple solid performances from the Sykes & Sabock Invitational, including Kobe-Jordan Rhooms' performance in the triple jump. He cleared 14.78 meters which earned him a third-place finish.

Emmanuel Ibeh finished eighth in the 200 with a time of 22.11 and also recorded a ninth place finish in the 400 in a time of 49.54 – both times were personal bests for the junior. 
 
Adrian Holley finished 12th in the 60 meter preliminaries in 6.98, and Devion Bryant (4:29.84) and Nasir Wallace (4:32.90) finished in 33rd and 34th in the mile.
 
Zackery Dillon recorded a toss of 15.85 to place ninth in the shot put, while teammate John Purvis finished with 14th with a toss of 15.54.
 
Morgan's quartet of Emmanuel Ibeh, Tarique Gooden, Ali Bowens and Duane Kizer turned in a  seventh place finish in the 4x400 meter relay.

The Bears will compete at the East Coast Invitational next weekend (Feb. 4-5) in Virginia Beach, Va.
