BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 27, 2021)-The Morgan State women's cross country team returned to the race course on Saturday after a week hiatus to compete in The Shore Cross Country Invite, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (MDES) in Princess Anne, Md.

The Lady Bears finished fifth with a total of 103 points.
Rachel Field was Morgan's top finisher for the third consecutive meet, as she completed the MDES Campus 5K Course in a time of 20:33.90 to place fifth individually.

Jessica Lamborn also placed in the top-20 for Morgan State, running a time of 21:44.40 to place 16th.

Micaela Fleetwood finished the race in a time of 26:01.50 to place 33

Howard captured the team title with 34 points, as three Howard runners placed in the top four. Joslyn Crosby of Howard won the individual title, finishing the race in a time of 19:27.40.

Coppin State was second with 58 points, while Hampton (79) and Delaware State (96) came in third and fourth, respectively. Host Maryland Eastern Shore was sixth with 115 points and Bowie State (188) placed seventh.

Morgan State will be off until Saturday, Oct. 9, when it runs in the Jack Saint Clair Memorial in Philadelphia, Pa.
