BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 12, 2021)-Rachel Field captured the DSU Sting Invite 5300 meter run individual title in a time of 22:23.50 on Saturday at the DSU Farm Course, in Smyrna, Del., hosted by Delaware State University.
 
As a team the Lady Bears would finish third with 62 points. Host Delaware State scored 34 points to win the team title, placing four runners in the top-10. Coppin State (53 points) finished second and Maryland Eastern Shore (79 points) was fourth.
 
Morgan State's Michelle Kamara placed 10^th overall in a time of 24:09.90, while Yasmine George (26:32.60) and Imani Jackson (27:54.00) earned top-20 finishes, placing 18^th and 20^th, respectively. Micaela Fleetwood placed 23^rd with a time of 29:15.50.
 
The Lady Bears will be off until Saturday, Sept. 25 when they return to action in Princess Anne, Md. for The Shore Cross Country Invitational, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
