CARY, N.C. (Oct. 29, 2021)-The Morgan State women's cross country team concluded the 2021 season with a seventh-place finish during Friday's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship at WakeMed Soccer Park.

The Lady Bears finished with a total of 146 points and were led by
Rachel Field, who earned All-MEAC honors after coming in seventh in a time of 19:44.60.

Jessica Lamborn ran a time of 21:12.70 to place 25th and
Michelle Kamara (22:34.50) and
Jalissa Emmens (22:55.50) placed 37th and 38th, respectively.
Yasmine George crossed the line in a time of 23:02.90 to place 40th.

Norfolk State captured the MEAC title with 41 points to defend their 2019 title and earn its third overall championship. Norfolk head coach Kenneth Giles was named the meet's Outstanding Coach.

Howard placed second with 55 points and Coppin State came in third with 97 points. South Carolina State (107) and Delaware State (113) rounded out the top-five.

South Carolina State's Jada Bank was the individual champion and was named Outstanding Performer after finishing the course in a time of 18:40.60.
