Bears Led By 4x100 Relay Team at IC4A Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. – Freshman sprinter Brandon James placed seventh in the 400m dash while also guiding the 4x100m relay team to a fifth place finish during the final day of the 2019 IC4A Championships, held at Princeton University.

The 4x100m relay, comprised of sophomore Kobe-Jordan Rhooms, freshman Jordan Cofield, sophomore Keon Rantin, and James, turned in a time of 41.04 to place fifth.

James clocked in at 49.44 in the 400m dash, placing seventh.

Overall, the men's team placed T-32nd out of the 44 teams competing.

Morgan State has six student-athletes that have qualified for the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Florida. Keon Rantin has qualified for the 200m and 400m dash. James will be competing in the 400m. The Bears also qualified for the 4x400m relay -- the foursome is yet to be determined.
