BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 2, 2018)-The 2018 cross country season got underway, as the Morgan State Lady Bears opened the season at the Towson Invitational on Friday at Oregon Ridge Park. The Lady Bears would place second with a total of 50 points.
Rachel Field led Morgan State with a fourth-place finish in a time of 16:33.74.
Infinnatie Rowe also place in the top-five, running a time of 16:44.89 to come in fifth.
Host Towson, which had three runners finish in the top three, earned the team title with 19 points. McDaniel (69 points) and Gallaudet (105), finished third and fourth, respectively. Abby Gauthier of Towson won the individual title, finishing the course in a time of 15:56.84. Last year's first-place finisher, Erica Israel, place second in a time of 15:57.09.
Next up for the Lady Bears will be the Hornet Invitational, hosted by Delaware State University on Saturday, Sept. 8 in Smyrna, Del.
