BALTIMORE, Md. – Brandon Griffin has been named honorable mention STATS FCS Defensive Player of the Week following an impressive season-opener performance against Towson in the inaugural Battle for Greater Baltimore.

Griffin was named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week yesterday, his first weekly honor from the conference this season and in his career.
