Acrobatics And Tumbling To Open 2026 Season At Home Against La Salle

Watch

BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 9, 2026)--
The Morgan State acrobatics and tumbling team is set to open the 2026 season on Tuesday, February 10, as it hosts La Salle University at 6 p.m. at Hill Field House, marking the official start of a new chapter for the program.

Coming off a strong performance at the annual Orange and Blue Showcase (Jan. 22), the Lady Bears enter the season under first-year head coach Agina Simpkins with confidence and momentum. The exhibition meet offered an early glimpse of the team's potential, as athletes displayed composure, depth, and competitive intensity across multiple events.

The Orange and Blue Showcase also served as a valuable opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate lineups, assess chemistry, and fine-tune routines ahead of official competition.

Tuesday's matchup against La Salle presents an early test for the Lady Bears as they look to establish their identity and set the tone for the season.

This will also be the season opener for La Salle, which is in its inaugural season of acrobatics and tumbling after the University announced the addition of the program as a varsity sport in April 2024.
