BALTIMORE, Md. (September 29, 2025) -- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced Monday that a pair of Morgan State standouts have received weekly accolades following their performances in Week 5 of the season.
Redshirt freshman Raymond Moore III was selected as the MEAC Rookie of the Week, while senior defensive back Jadon Carter was selected as the MEAC Specialist of the Week.
Moore III played a pivotal role in the Bears' 24-17 victory over Miles College, totaling 146 yards of offense. He rushed for 83 yards, passed for 63 yards on 8-of-21 attempts, and accounted for two touchdowns.
Carter, a Preseason All-MEAC First Team selection and Aeneas Williams Award Watch List member, secured Morgan State's win with a 94-yard return of a blocked field goal for a touchdown in the closing minutes against Miles College. Carter currently has 17 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble in five games.
Morgan State (2-3) resumes non-conference action on Saturday, Oct. 4, traveling to the Nation's Capital to take on Georgetown (2-3, 0-1). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., with live coverage on ESPN+.
