BALTIMORE, Md. (September 22, 2025) – Morgan State running back Randall Nauden has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Nauden played a key role in the Bears' 31-14 victory over Central State, carrying the ball nine times for 38 yards and a touchdown. The redshirt freshman averaged 3.8 yards per carry and helped Morgan secure its first win of the 2025 campaign.

Through the first three games of the season, Nauden has emerged as a reliable option in the backfield. The transfer from Army has totaled 128 rushing yards on 26 carries (4.9 avg) and scored two touchdowns. He has also contributed three receptions for 15 yards in the passing game.

Head Coach Damon Wilson praised Nauden's development and impact early in the season.

"Randall gives us a good combination with him and Jason [Collins Jr.]," said Coach Wilson. "He continues to improve in the passing game with his routes and understanding of protections.  Randall is a good physical runner who has some big-play ability as well."

The Bears (1-3) return to action on Saturday, Sept. 27, when they travel to Indianapolis to face Miles College (0-4, 0-2 SIAC) in the Circle City Classic. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
