Nauden, Burrell Pick Up MEAC Player of the Week Awards

BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 1, 2025) – Morgan State running back Randall Nauden has been selected as the MEAC Rookie of the Week, while teammate Jerrod Burrell collected Offensive Lineman of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.
 
Nauden made an immediate impact in his collegiate debut at FBS-member South Alabama, breaking loose for a 56-yard run in the fourth quarter and finishing with 77 yards on just seven carries. He also added two receptions for 13 yards.
 
Burrell anchored the Bears' offensive line from his right guard position, grading out above 80 percent while helping Morgan State produce 340 total yards of offense, including 181 rushing yards, against the Jaguars.
 
Morgan State opens its home slate on Saturday, welcoming the Towson Tigers (1-0) to Hughes Stadium for the 'Battle for Greater Baltimore.' Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+.
