BALTIMORE, Md. (April 20, 2025)--The Morgan State women's track and field team hosted its annual MSU Legacy Meet over the weekend at Hughes Stadium.
The Lady Bears would have a solid outing over the two-day event, as they produced 12 top-five performers, including three individual champions. Morgan State also had eight athletes, who either set personal or season bests.
On the track,
Jessica Lamborn would capture the 800-meter run championship, while setting a personal best time of 2:14.18.
The Lady Bears had two title winners in the field events, as
Laniyah Henderson recorded a winning jump of 11.99m (39-04.00) in the triple jump, while
Tia Jackson won the long jump title with leap of 6.00m (19-08.25).
Keira Stewart placed second in the long jump with a mark of 5.83m (19-01.50).
Cailyn Johnson set a personal best in the discus with a throw of 47.73m (156-07), which was good for second.
Brylan Carter finished second in the hammer throw, following her toss of 44.64m (146-05).
Azariah Jones, who placed third in the pole vault with a height of 8-06.25, also finished fourth in the javelin with her mark of 25.37m (83-03).
Aleah Alexander also recorded a personal best, as she placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.55m (5-01.00).
Jatavia Robinson ran a time of 12.00 seconds to place third in the 100-meter dash.
Denisha McLaurin placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles, as she crossed the line in 14.59 seconds.

Tia Jackson finished third in a time of 47.34 seconds.
Other personal and season best performances over the weekend came from
Aaliyah Headley, who ran a personal best time of 4:51.70 to place sixth.
Deborah Adekayode set a season best in the long jump with a leap of 5.45m (17-10.75) to finish eighth.
Victoria Francis set a season best in the 400-meter dash, finishing ninth in 56.85 seconds. Francis also set a season best in the 200-meter dash, placing 19
th with a time of 25.65.
Kayla More finished the 200-meter dash in a season best time of 26.23 seconds to place 27
th.
Morgan State will now head to Philadelphia, Pa. to compete in the Penn Relays (April 24-26) held at historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
