Moore’s Rise Continues

Morgan State Quarterback Claims Fourth MEAC Weekly Award

BALTIMORE, Md. (November 4, 2025) – The streak continues.

For the second straight week, redshirt quarterback Raymond Moore III has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

This marks the fourth time this season that Moore has earned the MEAC weekly honor and adds to Morgan State's impressive tally of 13 conference awards so far this year.

Moore, a Baltimore native and graduate of Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School, made the most of his third career start, facing MEAC defending champion South Carolina State. He continued his strong play by completing 17 of 30 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 76 rushing yards and another score.

Through six appearances this season, Moore has totaled 643 passing yards (52 of 99) with four touchdowns, while adding 328 rushing yards (7.5 avg) and four more scores on the ground. His dynamic playmaking has helped drive the Bears' offensive rhythm as they continue MEAC competition.

Moore will look to carry that momentum into Friday's nationally televised matchup, as Morgan State (3-6, 0-2 MEAC) aims to halt a two-game skid and capture its first conference victory of the season when it hosts Delaware State (6-3, 2-0 MEAC) on Friday, Nov. 7, at Hughes Stadium in Baltimore, Md. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., with live coverage on ESPNU, WEAA 88.9 FM, and HSRN.com.
